Why did you join GIC? Joining GIC Real Estate presented me with the opportunity to be part of a truly global organization, with depth and expertise that is unparalleled in this asset class. What’s more, I knew the experience of being able to work with professionals in different regions across the world would be a valuable resource when learning the global real estate business. What duties do you carry out within a typical day/week? Through my investment portfolio which includes mezzanine debt, b-notes, equity joint ventures, fund investments, public to private transactions and public equity purchases, I aim to deploy capital in the best risk-adjusted portion of a given structure. Aside from investments in Americas, I have also worked on transactions in the United Kingdom and France. Tell us about the working environment. One thing that makes working in GIC RE enjoyable is its collegial environment, which I personally believe sets GIC RE apart from so many others. As every day brings forth a new challenge, the fostering of creative thought remains imperative to the success of GIC RE's mission of providing superior risk adjusted returns for its client. As part of the GIC RE team, I believe that we are well positioned for growth as we are constantly on the look-out for new markets and business lines. We are known for being at the forefront with our strategies and investments and we will continue to live up to that reputation. Tell us about your social life, interests and hobbies. With travel being my greatest passion, working for a global company is a great fit. Living in New York City, I try to take advantage of all that the Big Apple has to offer including its cuisine, theatre and museums. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
