GIC places much emphasis on the training and development of our staff. Fresh graduates and new hires with no finance background undergo intensive training in our comprehensive in-house training programme, which covers accounting, economics and finance subjects, as well as soft skills such as negotiation and presentation skills.
Our officers are rotated to different departments, and within divisions, and mentored by experienced professionals to broaden their knowledge. For further exposure, selected staff are attached to top fund management companies or posted to our overseas offices to extend their global insight. GIC also sponsors employees for external courses including the Chartered Financial Analyst certification.
