Corporate Affairs & Planning

"CAPD assists the top management in corporate policies and governance, manages the relationship between the group and our clients, while keeping an eye on the bottomline for the group. Although seemingly distinct, these activities are interlinked and are crucial to GIC's ability to achieve its long term objectives while fulfilling its fiduciary responsibilities"
- Ms Vivien Chen, Director, Corporate Affairs & Planning

The Corporate Affairs and Planning Department (CAPD) is responsible for corporate policies and governance, client relationship management and corporate accounting and budgeting.

CAPD supports the Group Managing Director's Office on corporate policies and governance issues. It is also responsible for managing the group's relationships with its clients, the Ministry of Finance and Monetary Authority of Singapre. In addition, it is the financial controller and manages the "purse strings" for GIC. It is responsible for the GIC's statutory accounts and reports to the Council of Presidential Advisors.
