Investment Operations Department (IOD) is responsible for the broad spectrum of operations such as trade processing, income entitlements, follow-up on mergers and acquisitions, valuations, investment accounting and performance measurement of all assets under management. The coverage is global and includes assets such as Equities, Bonds, Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Futures, Collateralised Securities and other derivatives.
Investment Operations is organised into three groups: Asset Servicing, Investment Data and Reporting and Change Management.
The Asset Servicing Group ensures the precise settlement of all trades, complete collection of income entitlements, accurate processing of shares entitlement as a result of mergers and acquisitions, and prompt processing of derivative trades, margin and collateral calls. The group is also responsible for prompt reconciliation of all GIC's cash and securities positions, and monitors GIC's substantial shareholdings for filings with regulators.
The Investment Data and Reporting Group is responsible for market data management such as coupons, factors, durations, deltas, credit ratings, issuer details and timely valuations of all securities and derivatives assets. The group also ensures accurate reporting of performance of assets and timely provision of investment accounting schedules.
The Change Management Group is responsible to manage and implement major changes in processes, workflows and systems in response to new markets, financial products, valuation models or data requirements. The group ensures synergy and efficiency in all aspects of operations and smooth integration to front office processes and workflows.
