GIC Advisor Emeritus

David Denison is a corporate director with extensive experience in the financial services industry. He was a member of the GIC International Advisory Board, an advisor to the GIC Investment Strategies Committee and a member of the Investment Board from 2013 to 2020. He served as President and CEO of CPP Investments (previously Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, CPPIB) from 2005 to 2012. He was President of Fidelity Investments Canada Limited and a director of Royal Bank of Canada. Mr Denison is Chairman of Element Fleet Management Corp. and a director of BCE Inc. He also is Co-Chair of the University of Toronto Foundation Investment Committee and was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2014.

Mr Denison holds Bachelor of Arts and Education degrees from the University of Toronto and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
