Jason Young is Head of the Private Equity (PE) Direct Investments Group, North America. In this role, Jason oversees GIC’s large scale and long-term private equity investments in companies in North America. He is a member of the global Management Committee and Investment Committee for GIC PE, and previously served on the board of directors of several portfolio companies. He is also on the Advisory Board for the Wharton AI and Analytics Initiative.
Prior to joining GIC in 2013, Jason was a Principal at Silver Lake Partners – a technology-focused private equity firm – in New York and Hong Kong, where he helped establish the firm’s business in Asia. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in the Technology, Media, and Telecom group in New York.
Jason graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology, with a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
