Jim Adams is the Head of Strategy, Architecture & Transformation at GIC. He leads a team responsible for shaping GIC’s technology strategies through clearer technology roadmaps and stronger architectural guidance to align business priorities with enterprise outcomes.

Jim joined GIC in 2026. Prior to joining GIC, he held several leadership positions in Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan, where he managed enterprise-scale teams and led transformative technology initiatives. Most notably, Jim served as Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Citibank for five years, where he was responsible for overseeing technology infrastructure supported by a team of approximately 12,000 employees globally.

Jim is also the author of a book, The Creative CTO, aimed at helping aspiring technology leaders navigate the complexities of enterprise transformation.
