Kwong Hong Huat is Deputy Director, External Managers Department, where he oversees GIC’s external managers programmes in the Public Markets.

Hong Huat joined GIC in 2004. Hong Huat started his career at GIC in quantitative equities investing, before moving on to different teams within the Equities Department, covering Industrials in Europe, Emerging Markets, and eventually the Asia Pacific region. Most recently, he served as Head of Asia Total Return, leading an equities investment team across the Asia Pacific region, with a core focus on Japan, Australia, and emerging markets Asia. Before joining GIC, he worked as a Software Engineer for five years.

Hong Huat holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) from the University of Tokyo. He also holds a Master of Science in Wealth Management from the Singapore Management University.
