Member, GIC Investment Board

Wong Kim Yin is Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sembcorp Industries Ltd. He is a member of the GIC Investment Board. He has 30 years of leadership experience in investment management and in the energy sector. Prior to Sembcorp, Mr Wong was the Group CEO of Singapore Power from 2012 to 2020. He has also held senior roles in Temasek International and The AES Corporation. Mr Wong actively contributes to the global energy transition through his role as Vice Chair, Asia, of the World Energy Council. He is the Chairman of the Health Promotion Board, and also serves on the boards of the National Research Foundation and China Venture Capital Fund Corporation.

Mr Wong holds a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
