Liew Tzu Mi was appointed Deputy Group Chief Investment Officer (DGCIO) in October 2026, with a focus on total portfolio strategy and management. She is concurrently Director, Portfolio Execution & Solutions Group since April 2026, leading GIC’s liquidity, balance sheet, and beta management,  end-to-end portfolio execution, as well as total portfolio innovation and quantitative solutions functions. She also oversees the Total Portfolio Strategy Group to help drive capital allocation and enhance the connection between total portfolio strategy and portfolio implementation.

Ms Liew joined GIC in 1998 and built her career in the Fixed Income Department. She held various roles, including Head of Emerging Markets, Macro Research & Strategy, and Global Macro, before she was appointed Head of Fixed Income in 2015. She was then appointed Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income & Multi Asset, a role she held from July 2016 to September 2026. Ms Liew chairs GIC’s Currency Risk Management Committee, which is responsible for managing the currency exposure of the total portfolio, and the Sustainability Committee, which drives the integration of sustainability into GIC’s investment and corporate processes. She is a member of the Central Provident Fund Board and was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) by the President of Singapore.

Ms Liew holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Engineering and Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge, and a Master of Science in Engineering from Princeton University. She has completed the Advanced Management Program from INSEAD.
