Elaine Chan is Director, Global Investment Services (GIS) at GIC. She leads GIC’s global business operations, deal management, investment finance and accounting, and tax management across public and private markets worldwide. Elaine is responsible for shaping scalable, agile, and resilient operating models that enable growth and drive operational excellence through data-driven insights and technology innovation. She also serves as a member of GIC’s Corporate Management Committee, Sustainability Committee, Pricing and Valuation Committee, and Group Risk Committee.
Previously, Elaine held leadership roles in both Investment Services Private Markets and Investment Services Public Markets at GIC. In these capacities, she oversaw tax structuring, deal execution, due diligence, and portfolio financial monitoring for private equity, real estate, and infrastructure investments. For public market businesses — including Equities, Fixed Income, and Corporate Treasury — she led the execution of operational strategies and managed global trade operations, asset servicing, and investment monitoring. Elaine has also held senior positions in GIC’s Enterprise Strategy Unit, Finance, and Corporate Planning, where she championed digital transformation initiatives and strengthened GIC’s global network and investment processes. Before joining GIC, Elaine worked in Business & Advisory and Corporate Recovery & Insolvency at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University and is a member of the Harvard Business School Alumni.
