Li Yu is Region Head for GIC’s Real Estate business in Greater China. He is also the Head of GIC’s Shanghai office.

Li Yu joined GIC in 2007 and has been working in GIC’s Shanghai and Singapore Offices, covering real estate investments in Greater China and Australia. Prior to joining GIC, Li Yu was an economist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), working on infrastructure investment in Central and East Asia.

Li Yu holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Economics from Tsinghua University in Beijing. He also holds a doctorate in Regional Economics from MIT.
