Sam Kim is Deputy Chief Operating Officer at GIC. As Deputy COO, Sam assists the COO with enterprise initiatives covering investment services, technology and corporate administration.
Sam joined GIC in 2018 in Singapore as Director of Portfolio Execution Group, where he managed the Global Trading Unit, Balance Sheet Management Group, Beta and Asset Rebalancing, and Applied Research Unit. Prior to joining GIC, Sam spent 9 years with BlackRock in Tokyo, San Francisco, and Hong Kong. Before joining BlackRock, Sam co-founded Colden Capital, an event-driven hedge fund, and worked in equity derivatives structuring at Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts, Phi Beta Kappa, cum laude, in Philosophy from Harvard University.
