Yap Siao Teng is Head of Global Markets and Opportunistic Investments in the External Managers Department (EMD) at GIC. In this role, Siao Teng oversees strategies in Global Macro, Credit, Multi-Strategy, and Tactical Investments.

Siao Teng joined GIC in 2002 and has worked in GIC’s London and New York offices. She was a portfolio manager in the Global Interest Rates Team with the Fixed Income Department until 2011 before joining EMD.

Siao Teng holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Philosophy in Finance (Financial Engineering) from the University of Cambridge.
